Al contrario dell' italiano in inglese gli aggettivi non conoscono genere e numero: esiste solo una forma.

L'uomo è grande.	The man is tall.
L'uomo grande	The tall man.
Un uomo grande	A tall man.
il cappello dell'uomo grande.	The hat of the tall man.
Dà dei fiori all'uomo grande.	She gives flowers to the tall man.
Picchia l'uomo grande.	She has hit the tall man.
Gli uomini sono grandi.	The men are tall.
Gli uomini grandi.	The tall men.
i cappelli degli uomini grandi.	The hats of the tall men.
Danno dei fiori agli uomini grandi.	They give flowers to the tall men.
Picchiano gli uomini grandi.	They have hit the tall men.
La donna è bassa.	The woman is small.
la donna bassa	The small woman.
una donna bassa	A small woman.
Le scarpe delle donne bassa.	The shoes of the small woman.
Dà le scarpe alle donne basse.	He gives shoes to the small woman.
Porta la donna bassa	He carries the small woman.
Le donne sono basse.	The women are small.

Si possono utilizzare gli aggettivi con valore attributivo (i bambini divertenti) o predicativo (i bambini
sono divertenti).
